Thank you for your continued prayers in midst of these unprecedented days. As you probably heard, yesterday President Trump announced guidelines for the next 15 days, including instructions that Americans should avoid groups of 10 or more to stem the progression of this virus nationwide.
In order to comply with these recommendations, I have made the difficult decision to restrict our gathering Sunday to online only. Just so you know, it’s never my preference to keep the church from physically gathering for the purpose of worship, but right now I feel that the best, most loving thing we can do for the most vulnerable among us is to comply with these recommendations.
As I write this, risk of infection from COVID-19 is still low in our community. This decision is part of a local effort to keep it that way.
Thankfully, we are already set up for digital services, and I’m excited about us all “coming together” this Sunday from our living rooms. The service will be very similar to what you see every Sunday, and we’re thinking now about creative ways to keep everyone in your family connected.
If you have questions, concerns, or ministry needs, please feel free to reach out. These are unprecedented times for us. I’ve never been a pastor in a season like this, so I need your prayers for wisdom and leadership ability beyond my own.
Please stay in touch with one another and join us in thinking about creative ways to connect with each other during these days of isolation.
In His peace,
